I live in Nijmegen

I live in Nijmegen now, it's pleasant. I like it. It kinda looks like this:

I appreciate not living in a big town, Nijmegen is big enough for me right now. I can't handle much more at the moment I think.

These last months have been very hectic to say the least.. I've been to Manchester for the International Olympiad in Linguistics, Sweden for family matters, Sofia for a Computational Linguistics Conference, Leipzig for Typology conference and Leiden for a conference on African languages.

I'm a bit tired of travelling, but I also feel very lucky that I get to go to all these places and meet lots of interesting people.

I wish I had more time to do public outreach stuff, but all I've done this summer is this. I feel a bit bad about it.

In the mean time I'd like to recommend Mark Dingemanse's blog Ideophone, it's brilliant.
