Still living in Nijmegen

It's been Halloween. I still live in Nijmegen. It's fun.

Me an the other assistant working in the project started a very nerdy tumblr about grammar reading and linguistic typology.

I've been travelling a lot this summer. Manchester, Sofia, Leipzig, Split, Leiden, Uppsala. Next week I'm going to Paris! Here are some pictures (jaay pictures).

I live in Nijmegen

I live in Nijmegen now, it's pleasant. I like it. It kinda looks like this:

I appreciate not living in a big town, Nijmegen is big enough for me right now. I can't handle much more at the moment I think.

These last months have been very hectic to say the least.. I've been to Manchester for the International Olympiad in Linguistics, Sweden for family matters, Sofia for a Computational Linguistics Conference, Leipzig for Typology conference and Leiden for a conference on African languages.

I'm a bit tired of travelling, but I also feel very lucky that I get to go to all these places and meet lots of interesting people.

I wish I had more time to do public outreach stuff, but all I've done this summer is this. I feel a bit bad about it.

In the mean time I'd like to recommend Mark Dingemanse's blog Ideophone, it's brilliant.

I'm afraid that's all for now. I hope you are all well where-ever you are.
